These shorts are handcrafted using high quality flax linen sourced from one of Portugal's most historic fabric mills. The natural elements of the fiber make it durable and breathable for the summer months.
OUR MILLING
FROM SEEDS TO FABRIC
Our linen starts as flax seeds harvested in Northern Europe, flax stalks are then harvested and go through retting, a soaking process that breaks down the plant material binding the fibers together. The stalks are then broken and beaten to separate the usable fibers from the woody core, before being combed into smooth, aligned strands. Those strands are spun into yarn, typically wet-spun to produce a smooth, strong thread, and then woven into linen fabric.
